About

I currently work at EMC where I run marketing for the Data Protection and Availability Division in the Americas and you can find me posting on EMC’s Data Protection Continuum blog.  I previously ran marketing for Iron Mountain’s Data Management division and prior to that, I worked for HP as the Senior Product Manager for their enterprise tape, StoreOnce and VLS products in the Americas.  I also held various marketing roles at SEPATON, a company that manufacturerd VTL appliances including deduplication and other technologies and has since been purchased by Hitachi Data Systems.  My tenure at SEPATON lasted over 6 years and before that I worked for a channel partner selling a variety of solutions including those from SEPATON, EMC, NetApp, and many others.

I spend my free time chasing around my two young children and also enjoy tennis, digital photography and variety of other random hobbies.  I am a computer guy at heart and love monkeying with Linux and have been blogging for the last 12 years on my personal blog.  However my kids keep me so busy that it is hard to pursue too many of these hobbies.

As mentioned in the disclaimer, this blog reflects my own thoughts and opinions and does not necessarily reflect the thoughts and opinions of my employer.
